At Miller Land Management we have many years of experience in the preparation of forest management plans for a wide range of different woodlands and for owners with a similarly diverse range of objectives. Whether your objectives are commercial or conservation we can assist in drawing up a management plan for your woodland to help achieve your objectives. Over the last few years we have completed well over 200 woodland management plans for woodlands ranging in size from under a hectare to over 800 hectares, encompassing large estates and commercial plantations as well as nature reserves, SSSIs and community woodlands. In this time we are pleased to have brought many thousands of hectares of woodland under appropriate management.
All plans are designed to ensure sustainable management of the resource and to fulfill the requirements of the UK Forest Standard. A woodland management plan is a pre-requisite for applications for funding under the current Countryside Stewardship grants in England. An approved management plan can also be used to demonstrate sustainable management under the requirements of the Renewable Heat Incentive. Where required we can also develop plans to comply with the more rigorous requirements of the UK Woodland Assurance Standard (UKWAS).
We can guide you through the sometimes daunting processes of management planning and UKWAS certification and also help you to apply for any available grants. Every woodland is unique, so please contact us for further advice and assistance with your particular requirements.
